A delivery contract — between the Ministry of Health, county governments, health workers, partners, and the Kenyan people. Plan period: 2026–2028.
Kenya has made significant strides , 88% facility deliveries (KDHS 2022), 98% ANC coverage, and 73% of mothers and newborns receiving postnatal check within 48 hours. But maternal mortality remains at 355 per 100,000 , five times the SDG target of fewer than 70 per 100,000.
Kenya needs a fivefold acceleration to meet 2030 targets. Neonatal mortality stands at 21 per 1,000 , almost double the SDG target of ≤12 per 1,000. This plan delivers the acceleration.
